Due to the extreme wind chills this evening, we will be cancelling the staff supper planned for the MC 83 Grill in Mound City. It sounds like the MC 83 Supper Club will not even be open this evening due to the extreme wind chill situation.

The Wolverine HS GBB team will not be practicing today (Friday, January 12) as the team is still fighting an illness which has swept through their team ranks. Once again, NO Wolverine GBB practice today due to team illness and the desire to stem the spread of this illness.
The YTC JH BBB Tourney scheduled for Eureka tomorrow morning (1/13) has been postponed. The athletic directors are searching for a make-up date. Also, there will be NO other Herreid School or Wolverine activities tomorrow (1/13) including sports practices. Thank you and stay warm!
Due to the forecasted wind chill temperatures, the JH BBB game that was scheduled for today with Mobridge has been postponed to a later date.
Due to forecasted wind chill temps, the Herreid School will have a 10:30 am start on Monday, January 15. This will allow buses and those traveling to school to leave in the daylight. Temperatures are forecasted to rise as the day progresses and into the next day. Please remind your child to wear proper winter attire.
Update: The JH BBB game versus the Highmore-Harrold Pirates has been rescheduled to January 11th @ 4:45 pm. The JV game will begin at 6:00 pm, to be followed by the varsity contest. The games will be played in the Selby School Auditorium. Temps will be frigid. Please encourage your child to dress accordingly.
The JH GBB games at Selby on Tuesday, January 9 have been rescheduled to a 6:00 pm start. There will be 2 games. This will be a classic Junior High YTC matchup between the Battlers of Potter County and our very own Wolverines!
The game order for tonight's Doubleheader BB games in Langford is as follows: 4:00 (JV Boys) and then in rolling order, JV Girls, Varsity Boys, and Varsity Girls.
The Wolverine Junior High Boys' BB game at Linton has been rescheduled for Monday, January 8 @ 4:30 pm.

Updated BBB/GBB schedule for Tuesday's games in McIntosh. The Girl's JV game will start at 5:00 pm central to be followed by the varsity boys game and then the varsity girls will finish the evening. Note: NO JV Boys game, which is why the girls varsity will finish the night instead of the usual boys varsity game.

Reminder: The SDHSAA allows no student-athlete and coach/advisor contact from Dec. 23 - Dec. 26. There will be no practices, no games, no coach-mandated open gym and no film/scout sessions. Student-athletes need time to be with family and friends over the holidays and have no concerns about extracurricular activities!
This evening's (12/18) junior high girls' basketball games will begin at 5:30 pm in Selby. There will be 3 games.
