We have another SoDak 16 VB related announcement. A fan bus will be offered to any 6-12 grade student who wants to attend the SoDak 16 VB match in Ft. Pierre on Tuesday, November 11 at 7:00 pm, and doesn't have another means of getting to the VB match. Any 6-12 Herreid student who has an interest in riding the fan bus, must get a fan bus permission form on Monday morning, bring it home, get it signed by a parent/guardian, and return it to school on Tuesday morning. Good morning - Due to the Wolverine VB advancement to the SoDak 16 game which will be played on Veterans Day, we are making some changes to the Veterans Day activities which were to be held in the afternoon and evening of Veterans Day. The Veterans Day program will still be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 11. School will be dismissed after the riderless horse portion of the program. The changes will involve the grades 6-12 military displays, the Veterans Day Open House and the Veterans Day Free-Will donation meal. The student military displays, and the Veterans Open House have now been moved to Monday, November 10 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Veterans Day Free-Will Donation Meal will take place from 5:00 pm to 7;00 pm on Monday, November 10. The elementary students will have a normal school day on Monday, November 10th.

Message from Mr. Rice - With there being the final two regular season VB matches this week, and the playoff FB game on Thursday. This will be considered a "Spirit Week". Staff are welcome to wear jeans and casual clothing, with an emphasis on wearing Wolverine attire. Also, there will be a school wide sendoff for the FB team on Thursday. Herreid School Grades K-12 will dismiss at 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 30 for the 2nd round FB Playoff game at Colman-Egan. Game time is 6:00 pm.
Lunch will be served before the 12:30 dismissal and the buses will run at 12:30. The staff will also have a 12:30 dismissal time.
Reminder: For tonight's FB Playoff game in Herreid (6:00), student & adult activity tickets, senior passes, and conference passes will not be accepted. Admission is $5 for students and $7 for adults!
The Wolverine FB team will play Canistota in the 1st round of playoffs. The game will be in Herreid on Thursday, Oct. 23. Kickoff is at 6:00 PM.
The JH FB game @ Hoven on Oct.17 has been cancelled, also there is no JV game on that date in Hoven. Thank you!
FB & Cheer Senior Night - Oct. 10 & Herreid before the game. At 6:30 - Senior parents and athletes gather in the south end zone. At 6:40 - Introductions begin. Players and parents will walk from the end zone to the 50 yard line and face the bleachers.
The game time for the JH FB game in Herreid this Friday against Sully Buttes has been moved up from 5:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Varsity is at 7 pm
The JH FB game on Oct 6 in Timber Lake will start at 5:00MT/6:00 CST. Also, a JH FB game has been added for Oct. 14 @ Selby - 5 PM start.
This afternoon's JH FB game has been moved to a 4:00 PM start in Herreid. The JV game has been cancelled.
The JH FB game on 9/29 with North Central in Herreid as been moved to a 4:00 pm start, with JV to follow.
The leave time from Herreid is 2:45 pm. The JH FB game will start @ 5pm in Ipswich this Friday, with the varsity to follow at 7 pm.
