(Part 3) if your bus driver contacts you, and it absolutely will not work for you to transport your child for a few days, contact the school and we will attempt to line up 4-wheel drive pickups to help facilitate the process of getting your child to and from school. Thank you!

(Part 2) sliding into the ditch or having an accident. The bus drivers will contact the bus route families who live on the sketchiest roads to line up a better pickup point, or a hwy pick up point, and in some cases, rural families may have to bring their child to & from school.

This message is for bus route families who live on gravel roads. With the large rain amounts and more rainfall today through Wednesday, along with a lack of sunshine, many of the gravel roads and driveways are becoming hazardous and pose the potential for getting stuck, (Part 1)

The Herreid K-8 school buses have just left Selby. They should arrive back to Herreid by 3:00 PM. The school day will be over at 3:00 PM when buses return. Once again, K-12 will dismiss at 3:00 pm and buses will run routes at that time.

Parent/Guardian Reminder: School will be dismissed tomorrow when the K-8 students return from the Farm & Safety Day in Selby. The event is slated to be done by 2:30. With time for loading students, the buses should return about 3:05-3:10. School will dismiss at the time of return.

K-8 Parent/Guardian Reminder: If you have not done so, please send the Farm and Safety Day paperwork with your child today or you may drop it off in the office. Thank you! The K-8 students will be in session in Selby tomorrow.

(Part 2) The K-8 students will leave for Selby at 8:15 am on May 13 & return about 3:10 pm. All students will be dismissed upon return of the K-8 students from Selby. If safety day in Selby is on schedule, we should return around 3:10 & dismiss school at that time! Have a great day!

Msg 3 -Please monitor your child and keep them home if exhibiting any symptoms of H, F & M, STREP, or other illness. The custodians have been instructed to do increased disinfection of the school. Thank you for your help as we try to close out the school year in a healthy manner.

Message 2 - a child with hand, foot & mouth should stay home 5-7 days and be fever free. A child with STREP or other fever illness should be fever free for 24-hrs with the use of fever reducing drugs before returning to school. Message 3 to follow.

Message 1 - The Herreid School has a diagnosed case of hand, foot, and mouth disease and several recent cases of STREP. Please monitor your child for fever, sore throat, mouth sores and sores or rash on the hands and feet. We have been in touch with the clinic - cont. message 2

Once again, no on-site school in Herreid today(4/2). Along with neighboring schools the decision was based on deteriorating road conditions. We will have a remote learning day. Your child has their assignments. We are thankful for the moisture & pray for the newborn calves. Stay safe!

There will be NO ON-SITE SCHOOL in Herreid today, April 2. The Herreid School will have a remote learning day. The teachers and students prepared for remote learning yesterday and it will be implemented today. The roads have rapidly deteriorated and so remote learning in Herreid.
