(Part 2)Administration is meeting with the drivers next Wed to finalize a plan. The drivers will reach out to the families on their bus route list with route info after we have a solution. We are attempting to accommodate the high volume of new and returning bus route families.
Bus route families - Herreid School has had a large increase in requests to be added to a bus route. As it stands we are currently in need of 3 large buses for routes & our miles have greatly increased.We are looking at various options to solve what is a good problem to have! (Part 1)

The Wolverine Fall Sports Meeting will be held in the Herreid Gym on Monday, August 4 @ 7:00 PM. All athletes playing a Fall sport are highly encouraged to attend as are a parent or guardian! Thank you & Go Wolverines!!!
Herreid School is collecting electronic items to be recycled. This is a free electronics recycle opportunity and we are opening it up to the community. Acceptable items include: computers, laptops, monitors (flat screens ONLY), phones, printers, projectors, VCRs, and DVD players. Items maybe dropped off in the the Herreid School cafeteria by Friday, July 25. The main office doors will be open from 8 to noon Monday thru Friday. Please bring acceptable items ONLY.
The school gym has been reopened after the floor refinish. The custodians & floor crew did an AWESOME job! We love that our gym gets used every day by students & adults! Please don't wear street shoes on the gym floor, keep wheeled devices off the floor & clean up trash. Thank you!
The Herreid School Library will be open from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on the following dates: 7/16, 7/17, 7/22, 7/23, & 7/29. Students in all grade levels including PK are able to checkout books. Thank you!
The BBB Academy planned for Monday in Selby will be cancelled due to a family situation. Coach Hettick will replace this session with a camp this fall.
The Boys BB Skills Academy which was to be held in Herreid on Monday, July 14 has been relocated to the Selby North Gym due to a scheduling conflict in Herreid. It will still be held in Selby on July 14 and the times are the same.
Attention: Parents of MS/HS students
Parent/Guardian Reminder: The Herreid School will dismiss at 1:30 pm today (5/22) for summer vacation! Memorial Day Services will be held Monday, May 26 @ 10:30 in the school gym! The next school year begins on August 27. Have a great summer!
(Part 3) if your bus driver contacts you, and it absolutely will not work for you to transport your child for a few days, contact the school and we will attempt to line up 4-wheel drive pickups to help facilitate the process of getting your child to and from school. Thank you!
(Part 2) sliding into the ditch or having an accident. The bus drivers will contact the bus route families who live on the sketchiest roads to line up a better pickup point, or a hwy pick up point, and in some cases, rural families may have to bring their child to & from school.
This message is for bus route families who live on gravel roads. With the large rain amounts and more rainfall today through Wednesday, along with a lack of sunshine, many of the gravel roads and driveways are becoming hazardous and pose the potential for getting stuck, (Part 1)
The Herreid K-8 school buses have just left Selby. They should arrive back to Herreid by 3:00 PM. The school day will be over at 3:00 PM when buses return. Once again, K-12 will dismiss at 3:00 pm and buses will run routes at that time.
Parent/Guardian Reminder: School will be dismissed tomorrow when the K-8 students return from the Farm & Safety Day in Selby. The event is slated to be done by 2:30. With time for loading students, the buses should return about 3:05-3:10. School will dismiss at the time of return.
K-8 Parent/Guardian Reminder: If you have not done so, please send the Farm and Safety Day paperwork with your child today or you may drop it off in the office. Thank you! The K-8 students will be in session in Selby tomorrow.
