Good afternoon! The 6-12 students will be attending an assembly in Eureka tomorrow (9/17) covering the topics of making good choices, treating others well, handing challenges, and being a positive person. The students will leave at 12:45 and return to Herreid about 3:00 PM. The Herreid and Selby VB players will leave from Eureka after the assembly to go to Leola for their VB match! Go Wolverines!!!
Attention: After visiting with administration and coaches it has been decided that today's FB games in Herreid will go forward as planned. JV game - 3:30 PM and JH game - 5:00 PM. Concessions will be available. There is a lot of standing water in the area behind the crows nest and on the track. We ask that vehicles stay off the track and don't drive through the area behind the crows nest. If it appears after the JV game that the game field is suffering excessive damage, the JH game may be moved to the practice field. Thank you!

Good afternoon! There has been a site location change for this week's VB match vs. Highmore-Harrold. The match will now be played in Herreid on Thursday Sept. 10. There will be 4 matches and begin @ 4:00 PM. The McLaughlin VB match on Tuesday, Sept. 15 will now be played in Selby.
Reminder: The Herreid School will not be in session on Friday, September 4 or Monday, September 7. Homecoming Coronation will be held at 7:30 PM on the evening of Monday, September 7. Please join us as we crown the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen!

Today's (8/31) Junior Varsity Football game at Selby vs. Gettysburg has been postponed until a later date. The JV football game on September 21 vs. South Border has been canceled by South Border.

There was some discussion about adjusting the school day to an 8:00 AM start time, but the decision was made today to run the school day as it has been in the past: 8:05 AM 1st bell, 8:10 AM- 2nd bell. The school day will run from 8:10 AM to 3:40 PM.

The Wolverine Fall Athletic Meeting will take place in the Selby Gym on Wednesday, August 5 @ 7:00 PM. A parent or guardian as well as the fall 6-12 athletes and coaches must attend. Completed physical forms and Wolverine Athletic packets can be turned in at this meeting if they have not already been turned into the school business office. Sport's Physical forms and required Wolverine athletic packets can be obtained in the school office or downloaded from the school website!

Herreid will be running a bus on Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16 to bring basketball camp attendees to Selby. On both days, the bus will leave from the north side of the Herreid School @ 8:20 AM with the 1st session attendees, and will leave the Herreid School @ 9:50 AM with the 2nd session attendees. After dropping off the 2nd session attendees, the bus will bring back the 1st session participants at 10:30 AM when their session is completed. The bus will then return to Selby to bring the 2nd session attendees back to Herreid on completion of the 2nd session at 12:30 PM.
The start of the 3rd day of the State Track Meet in Sioux Falls has been delayed by 1 hour. The 1st round of field events will begin at 10:00 AM.
