Thanksgiving Vacation Reminder:
There will be NO School November 27-29. School will resume on Monday, December 2. Please have a safe Thanksgiving as we remember with gratitude the many things in our lives that we are thankful for!
Herreid School will have a 10:00 AM start today (Nov. 20) North, NE, NW, of Herreid has serious visibility issues at times and in certain places.. We will give the drivers some daylight. Be safe.
There will be free babysitting sponsored by the student council during P-T conferences this afternoon and evening. It will be held in the assembly classroom in the remodel area of the Old School (High School). Also there is coffee and cookies in the remodeled hallway in the Old School.
Reminder: School dismisses at 2:30 tomorrow for the 3:00 P-T Conferences. Buses will run at 2:30!
Reminder: Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held tomorrow (Nov. 14) from 3:00-7:00. The 6-12 teachers will hold their conferences in their classrooms. Report cards for 6-12 students can be picked up in the office. Have an awesome day!
Reminder: School will be dismissed tomorrow following the Veterans Day Program. The program is at 10:00 am and should be finished by 11:15 am. Buses will run following the program. The 6-12 students will have displays at the Community Center from 11:30-6:00. Free will meal from 5-7!
The Teacher/Student Workday on Friday, November 8 will be shortened to run from 8am-11am. This will allow staff & students time to eat lunch and get ready to attend the funeral for Mr. Hanson's son Greg. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hanson family during this difficult time.
Wolverine VB fans: You may enter the Herreid School this evening through the west elementary doors, or the new main office/school entrance on the east side of the school. SDHSAA rules state that doors will not open until 1 hour before game time (6:00 pm).
Good evening! The Herreid Administration Offices have moved into the new addition. The main school entrance and entrance for all visitors is now on the east side of the new school addition. Thank you!
Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, November 4. The teachers and staff will have an inservice/workday. The 7th graders will still go on their field trip to "Coal Country". The bus leaves at 8:15 AM on Monday and returns around 6:00 PM.

The teachers/staff have an Inservice on that day to prepare for the opening, usage and emergency plan of the new school addition and the remodel. School will resume as usual on Tues, Nov. 5. Elementary Parent Reminder: Kids for Christ begins today right after school for K-4 students. This will be held at the Baptist Church and end around 5:00 pm.
Parent Reminder: School will be dismissed on Friday, October 4 following the completion of the parade. Buses will run at that time. An estimated time for the parade to be finished is around 3:00 pm.
The Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 4. Lineup is at the C.Center beginning at 2:00 pm and the parade begins at 2:30 pm. The parade route will be the same as in the past. Thank you for your support!

Parent Reminder: Children's book author & Eureka native Jodi Gab will meet with the elementary students tomorrow to discuss her book & answer questions. She will have copies of her book, "Venny and Ecco the Lucky Cats" for sale! The cost of the book is $15 if you wish to send money with your child to purchase a book!

Good afternoon! This is a quick reminder that the Wolverine Fall Sports meeting will be held in the Selby Gym on August 6 @ 7 pm. This is for all boys and girls in grades 6-12 who will be playing a fall sport! Herreid athletes can turn in their physical forms at that time, if they haven't been turned it yet.
